About Rick King

As executive vice president and chief operating officer at Thomson Reuters Corporation, Rick King oversees the management of the multibillion-dollar information and media firm’s operational technology teams. In this companywide leadership role, he has driven more than $120 million in savings.

Rick King obtained his promotion to executive vice president in 2014 after successful performance in various other executive positions across the corporation. Mr. King has earned numerous accolades such as the CIO Career Achievement Award, the Tekne Award for Technology Leadership, and the Computerworld Top 100 IT Leadership Award. He holds leadership positions in a number of professional committees and technology organizations as well, including serving as chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Science Museum of Minnesota and as a member of the boards of the Humphrey School of Public Policy and the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota.

Additionally, Rick King was chosen by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton to the Metropolitan Airports Committee and to be chairman of the state’s Technology Advisory Council.
